After winning the tender organised by the High Council for Sports (C.S.D.), we are instructed to create a sports hall that will have dual use: in school hours, as support for the high school Instituto Infante Don Juan Manuel, and the rest of the time as part of the municipal facilities.
Located in part of the high school’s courtyard and surrounded by abundant vegetation, the design is a resounding, non-scale geometric volume to house the sports courts. Tears are made on its roof, to recreate indoors the feeling of being among the trees, fresh, protected, relaxed, with chiaroscuros that make sports practice more pleasant and, at the same time, reduce the need for artificial lighting.
The rest of the required rooms are generated by folding skins, which, thanks to their shapes, generate the necessary privacy and fluidity between them, creating double access and a fluid circulation.
