All in one.
The need to provide occupational workshops with decent and comfortable spaces for users, together with the dispersion in offices of the different administration departments and the desire to improve the housing conditions of Brothers Hospitallers of Saint John of God, essential collaborators of Jesús Abandonado in its work helping those most in need: those were the initial issues to plan and design this building, which will be located next to the residence as a complement to it.
On the ground floor there is a large area where different workshops can be combined; they can be carried out either simultaneously or subdivided by mobile panels. Machinery and technical areas are separated to be used in a more controlled way.
All the administrative offices are located on the first floor, which will facilitate the work and the necessary cooperation between the different areas. Versatile meeting areas are also created to host different events.
The residence of the brothers is on the top floor, with a separation between the day and night areas to favour coexistence.
The different functions are reflected on the outside through the window openings, in accordance with each activity.
Its envelope is made with brick, resistant and low-maintenance, single layer mortar in blue, and breaking it, an orange sheet chimney as a nod to the Foundation logo.
